Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli finally tied the knot on Monday in Tuscany, Italy after much speculation around the wedding. They kept their fans guessing for years as to when the blessed day will finally arrive and when it actually did, it memes, jokes and just funny tweets flooded the internet.
Speculations over the alleged wedding plans of Team India captain Virat Kohliand Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma have been doing rounds on the internet. The latest talks being associated with the subject are that Sachin Tendulkar and Yuvraj Singh are the only two cricketers who have been invited to the couple’s marriage ceremony in Milan. As per a report in MensXP, Kohli has only been able to invite two of his closest allies – Tendulkar and Yuvraj – and considering the ongoing India vs Sri Lanka ODI series, it absolutely makes sense since the Indian captain wouldn’t have been able to invite other cricketers to the wedding because of their on-field commitments.
“Not many people have been invited, as it is a really small function. Just close ones are invited, Virat’s childhood friends and few of our family members. From cricket fraternity, only Sachin and Yuvraj will be seen, if they make it to the wedding. And of course, Virat’s coach Rajkumar Sharma who once taught him. There were others too but they can’t make it for the day,” a source close to Kohli was quoted as saying by MensXP.
Meanwhile, Virat and Anushka or Virushka as they are fondly referred to by fans, have been grabbing headlines every time they make an appearance. The good-looking lovebirds have been doling out #CoupleGoals every now and then. The much-in-love jodi broke the internet, thanks to a very strong rumour suggesting that the couple was planning to tie the knot this December. The adorable lovebirds recently featured in an advertisement for a clothing brand where they exchange wedding vows while witnessing a marriage ceremony and of course, fans wanted this ad to be reality. The hearthrob of the nation made a head-turning appearance at the red carpet of Indian Sports Honours with his lady luck who showed up looking like a million bucks.
